Hiking trail for a nice leisurely stroll.
Nice to know is that kuierje is the Frisian word for walking. This walking tour takes you past the memory of the Battle of Warns. This battle between William IV of Holland and the Frisians (1345) is a symbol of the Frisian struggle for freedom. The monument you will pass is the Roaklif (Red Cliff) It is a great spot here to enjoy the beautiful view of the IJsselmeer.
