Walking route Meijendel and Wassenaarse Duinen

This hiking trail takes you through the beautiful dune area of Meijendel, one of the largest and most varied natural areas of South Holland. You walk through open dunes, along watery valleys and winding forest paths where deer, rabbits and numerous bird species feel at home. Along the way, you'll come to viewpoints where you look out over the North Sea and the vast dune valleys. The varied landscape makes every kilometer feel different. In Meijendel you will also find the visitor center, ideal for learning more about nature and water extraction in this area. A snack or drink along the way is available at the cozy restaurants in the dunes. This route combines nature, tranquility and the fresh sea air into a perfect day out.
