Note: In rainy weather, the route can be very blubbery.
Please note: in rainy weather, parts of the route can be muddy and slippery - sturdy footwear is not a luxury then.
The Naardermeer is a beautiful and protected nature reserve, known for its varied landscape of ponds, reed beds, wet hay meadows and swamp forests. This unique area is an oasis of tranquility and a paradise for nature lovers.
During your walk, it is important to stay on the marked trails to protect the fragile nature. Along the way you will come across several observation points - a great opportunity to stop for a moment and enjoy the view. Here, with a little luck, you can spot a variety of bird species, including cormorants, purple herons and other marsh birds.
There is also a lot to discover on the ground: the area is home to a wealth of unusual plant species that show up differently each season. So take your time, be surprised by the silence and marvel at the biodiversity of this special part of the Netherlands.
