This hiking trail starts at The Wells. The Pettemerpolder is designated a silence area. There are few buildings and no busy roads. This makes it darker at night, which is an advantage for many birds. The transition from salt to fresh in this area suits special plants. In summer, the beautiful purple sea aster can be found here.
