This walk starts at the harbor area of Marken. Look closely at the unusual houses! Walking along the IJsselmeer you will come to the Lighthouse of Marken. Also called \"Horse of Marken\". Be sure to walk here! This lighthouse, at the eastern tip of the island, was designed by Jan Valk and built in 1839. It is no less than 16 meters high!
