Wapserveen hiking trail

Hiking in Southwest Drenthe.
Wapserveen is a village in the municipality of Westerveld. Originally the village is a peat colony that originated around 1380. There are still Hallenhuis farmhouses to be seen. If you walk straight ahead at node 36 you will see the famous Dutch Reformed church. With next to it the only authentic detached belfry. This comes the 16th century. Definitely worth a look! You return to Wapserveen through rural areas with wide views.
